About Steve Niles
I didn’t just join a newsroom; I practically grew up in it.
My career in television news started in 2008 as an intern, fetching tapes and learning the mechanics of a story. I was with CBC’s Business News team, and my first months were dominated by the 2008-2009 Financial Crisis that drove our coverage daily.
Over the next 15 years, I worked every seat in the newsroom: I chased leads as a producer, directed live national broadcasts, and eventually sat in the anchor chair to deliver the news to millions.
I’ve been on the heart of the stories that defined the last two decades. From the devastation of the Fort McMurray wildfires and the complexities of the War in Ukraine to the high-stakes volatility of the Tariff Wars, I’ve had a front-row seat to history. Whether it was politics, business, or the intersection of economics and professional sports, my job was always the same: Take the complex, the chaotic, and the technical, and make it make sense.
So, why does a career journalist move into the corporate world? Because I realized that businesses have stories just as vital as the ones on the news, but they often lack the tools to tell them. I see how the newsroom mindset could transform corporate messaging from static updates into high-impact narratives.
Today, I bring that reporter’s instinct and producer’s precision to your brand. I don’t just write content. I build authority, navigate crises, and find the human pulse in every project.
I’ve spent my life asking the right questions. Now, I’m here to help you provide the right answers.
